Frequently Asked Questions

Is HodHod free to use?

Yes. You can use HodHod for free until your newsletter reaches 500 subscribers.

Once you exceed this limit, you'll need to upgrade your plan to continue publishing newsletters.

What should I do if I forget my password?

If you've forgotten your password, click "Forgot?" on the sign-in page, then enter the email address you used to create your account.

We'll send you a password reset link so you can create a new password and sign in again.

Can I change my newsletter's title or description later?

Yes. You can update your newsletter title, description, and most of its settings at any time from the Newsletter Settings page.

Can I move my subscribers from another platform?

Yes. You can move subscribers from any newsletter platform.

Simply export your subscriber list from your current platform, then import it into HodHod using HodHod's CSV template to ensure your data is imported correctly.

Can I send an issue to a specific group of subscribers?

Yes. If you've created subscriber groups, you can choose to send an issue to a specific group or to your entire subscriber list.

Can I edit an issue after it's been published?

No. Once an issue has been published and sent, it can't be edited.

We recommend using Preview and Send Test to review your issue before publishing.

Can I delete a published issue?

Yes. You can delete any published issue at any time.

Note: Deleting an issue won't remove emails that have already been delivered to your subscribers. It will only remove the issue from your newsletter's public page and the Previous Issues section.

What is a bounced email?

A bounced email is a message that couldn't be delivered to the recipient.

This can happen for several reasons, including:

An incorrect email address.
The recipient's email account has been deleted or is no longer active.
The recipient's inbox is full.
The recipient's email provider rejected the message.
Do I need a custom domain to use HodHod?

No. You can start using HodHod without a custom domain.

If you'd like to send newsletters using an email address associated with your own domain later, you can set it up from the Domains tab.

Why is my Analytics page empty?

Your analytics depend on subscriber activity.

If you don't have any subscribers yet, or your subscribers haven't started opening and interacting with your newsletter, it's completely normal for your analytics page to be empty.

As your audience begins engaging with your newsletter, your analytics will update automatically.
